Weekly linehauls for temperature-controlled transport between Finland and Germany

Nagel-Group partners with DB Schenker • Wider terminal network in Europe • Coverage of all destinations through timed services

Vantaa/Versmold, July 13, 2021 – Nagel-Group and DB Schenker have joined forces in offering a wider distribution network for foodstuffs in Finland and Germany. Thanks to the new partnership agreement customers of both companies can reach their consignees in all destinations through timed services. Transport temperatures for temperature-controlled shipments are from +2 to +6^o C for chilled goods, -18^o C for frozen goods and from +15 to +25^o C for goods stored in room temperature.

The partnership expands the terminal network of temperature-controlled goods in Germany and Finland, main hubs being Hamburg in Germany and Vantaa in Finland. DB Schenker will operate weekly temperature-controlled linehauls between the hubs and distribute direct and groupage shipments for Nagel-Group in Finland. Mutually, Nagel-Group will distribute groupage shipments for DB Schenker in Germany and other represented countries.

Partnering with Nagel-Group is a natural expansion of DB Schenker’s temperature-controlled network. DB Schenker has similar agreements with STEF in Italy, France and Iberia. STEF and the Nagel-Group also work together in a close partnership.
