Nagel-Group opens new logistics center in Vejle, Denmark
Vejle/Denmark, 18.08.2023. The goods are already flowing through the transshipment halls, the refrigerated halls are filled with sausages, cheese, juices and much more: The new central logistics center of the Nagel-Group in Denmark is running at full speed. The opening of the new food logistics site in Vejle has now been celebrated. Around 120 customers and partners came to the celebration and visited the state-of-the-art facility.
“Denmark is one of our focus markets. We are now very well positioned with our new sites in Vejle and Ringsted, as well as our branches in Padborg and Struer. In addition, the Danish sites are now fully integrated into our European network,” said Carsten Taucke at the opening ceremony on Tuesday.
The 16,500-square-meter logistics facility will serve Nagel-Group’s customers in the food industry, offering 19,000 pallet spaces for the storage of frozen and fresh products. The facility also features a cross-dock with 46 gates to ensure efficient goods handling. In addition, the building offers modern office space.

Making our customers’ goods available every day in Denmark and throughout Europe is our mission, and providing this in the best quality is our own claim,” said Marion Nagel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nagel-Group. And addressing the Managing Director Denmark, she added: “I wish you, dear Jens Henrik Olesen, much success in this new, wonderful location and your team a successful and bright future.”
Construction work on the logistics hall began in October 2021 and proceeded according to plan. Occupation of the new logistics facility could begin at the end of March 2023. The logistics complex on Europastrasse E45 was built by real estate investor M+ Ejendomme. The new building was constructed according to the highest standards for sustainable construction. The company is actively involved in Climate Partnership North to achieve climate neutrality for the municipality of Vejle by 2050.
