Nagel-Group is winner of the Best Managed Companies Award for the second time in a row

Frankfurt, 24.05.2024. Nagel-Group has been named Best Managed Company 2024. The award for outstandingly managed companies was presented on May 23 in Frankfurt by Deloitte Private, UBS, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Voice of German Industry (BDI).

The Best Managed Companies program is a competition and seal of quality for successful medium-sized companies. The vision: to build a national and global ecosystem of excellently managed medium-sized companies.

“I am delighted that we have received the Best Managed Company Award for the second time in a row this year. The award is an outstanding success for our company, for our 11,000 employees who give their best every day and also for me personally! The award is proof of Nagel-Group’s stability and reliability, which is based on our long-term and sustainable orientation,” said Carsten Taucke, CEO of Nagel-Group, who accepted the award in Frankfurt.

For the jury of the Best Managed Companies Award, a clear corporate strategy is an important prerequisite for successful companies. Carsten Taucke reported on the priorities he would like to set over the next ten years: “Last year, we updated our strategy up to 2030. One important insight was that we will continue to expand the modernization plan we have started. Since 2022, we have been investing heavily in our network of locations, in digitalization, in our fleet and in our employees. Two state-of-the-art logistics facilities in Nuremberg and Schweitenkirchen near Munich went into operation a few weeks ago and are strengthening our network. But AI has also found its way into our day-to-day work. For example, we use our NagelGPT, an internal Nagel-Group GPT model, to process internal company information in the shortest possible time.”

A key unique selling point of Best Managed Companies is its internationality: Best Managed Companies was launched by Deloitte in Canada in the 1990s and has since been successfully introduced in more than 45 countries.

“Nagel-Group is an outstanding example of a Best Managed Company that impresses with its powerful mix of vision, productivity, innovative spirit and strong, value-oriented leadership. In addition, the company has the remarkable ability to harmonize attractive work and economic growth. It is an example of how companies can make a big difference in their region,” emphasizes Dr. Christine Wolter, Partner and Lead of Deloitte Private.

In the competition, the participating companies are evaluated and scored in four categories: strategy, productivity and innovation, corporate culture and governance, and finance. The committee, consisting of a panel of experts and a jury, is made up of specialists from business, science and the media.
