Nagel-Group supports online supermarket Knuspr with logistics processing

Markgröningen, 17.05.2024. Nagel-Group is taking over extensive logistics services for the online supermarket Knuspr. At the Markgröningen site, Nagel-Group will store and pick frozen goods and transport them to the central Knuspr logistics centers in Munich, Berlin and the Rhine-Main area.

As an online supermarket, Knuspr offers its customers a wide range of up to 19,000 products from supermarkets and farm stores and delivers directly to their door within just three hours. Knuspr is now receiving logistical support from the Nagel-Group: Germany’s leading food logistics company is taking over warehouse management for frozen products and order picking from its logistics center in Markgröningen and transporting the goods to the central Knuspr logistics locations. The start will be made with a storage capacity of 300 storage spaces.

With a successful presence in the greater Munich area, the Rhine-Main region and, since the end of April, also in the greater Berlin area, Knuspr is already planning its next expansion steps to Hamburg and the Ruhr region. Knuspr is part of the Rohlik Group, which already operates a very successful delivery service in the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Romania. Knuspr aims to make people’s lives easier and more enjoyable with the fast and convenient delivery of high-quality and primarily regional food.

“With a fulfillment concept specially tailored to Knuspr, we were able to convince the food delivery service of Nagel-Group’s expertise and range of services,” says Marco Mahn, Branch Manager at Nagel-Group’s Markgröningen site. “The collaboration between Nagel-Group and Knuspr promises great potential, particularly in the areas of freshness and ambient.”

“The collaboration with Nagel-Group enables us to offer a wider range of frozen products at all our German locations. Thanks to the new central frozen food warehouse in Markgröningen, we need to hold less stock locally in our logistics centers and can offer a wider range of products at the same time. We are also increasing our capacities in the summer to meet the growing demand,” explains Stephan Lüger, Commercial Director of Knuspr.

About Knuspr

The German online supermarket Knuspr delivers fresh, high-quality food directly to your door in just three hours. Its full range of products focuses on fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, dairy products and baked goods. The origin of the products and the logistics are unique selling points: Knuspr sources over three quarters of its full range directly from producers and farmers, not from wholesalers and/or middlemen. In the main harvest season, up to 80% of the fruit and vegetable range comes from local producers.

Knuspr’s fully automated logistics centers serve as the only transshipment points for all orders from the respective supply region. This means that the products can be delivered to customers in the shortest possible time – often just seven hours after harvesting or production. With this innovative concept of fresh, regional products, a wide range of products and fast delivery, Knuspr is revolutionizing the online grocery trade in Germany. Knuspr currently supplies the greater Munich area, the Rhine-Main region and the greater Berlin area.
