Anniversary celebration 2024: Long-serving employees honoured

Versmold, 3 May 2024: They came from Magdeburg, Nuremberg, Kempten, Denmark or from the Versmold and Borgholzhausen area – they all have a strong connection to Nagel-Group in common: 55 employees of the family-owned company with particularly long service were honoured at the 2024 anniversary celebration in the History Lounge.

The celebration took place where it all began. “What looks like a new building from the outside is actually our first logistics centre,” said Tobias Nagel. The nucleus of the company was the perfect place to talk about the exciting developments of the past decades together with those celebrating their anniversaries.

“As a shareholder family, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts – for your commitment and your many years of loyalty, which cannot be taken for granted in today’s fast-paced world,” said Beatrice Mentis, who, together with her brother Tobias Nagel, had organised the 2024 anniversary celebrations.

The shareholders honoured their long-standing employees in the History Lounge at the headquarters in Versmold. Together with Marion Nagel, Chairwoman of the Nagel-Group Board of Directors, and the Managing Directors Dr Holger Werthschulte, Michael Lütjann and Jens Kleiner, the long-serving employees spent a festive evening.

In his speech, Tobias Nagel spoke about the company’s latest developments: The use of artificial intelligence has found its way into the family business, the modernisation of the network is in full swing and some major projects, such as those in Nuremberg and Schweitenkirchen, have already been successfully completed. The corporate venture Leafr delivers food in Hamburg using electric transport centres and ensures that refrigerated logistics in the city centre become more sustainable.

“We are working on many topics that will make us fit for the future so that we can continue to be successful as Nagel-Group and connect the world of food,” said Tobias Nagel. “You have played a decisive role in our success. I find it incredible how many experiences you have had with us and how many memories you have created,” said Beatrice Mentis, addressing the jubilarians.

The celebration in the History Lounge will be another wonderful experience at Nagel-Group for many of the participants. After the honours, they spent the evening exchanging many stories from the eventful past decades.
