Christmas donation 2023

We have been actively supporting SOS Kinderdorf e. V. projects in various countries since 2013. As part of our Christmas donation campaign, we are inviting all Nagel-Group customers and employees to vote on which project should receive the most support. This year, projects from Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Sweden and Poland are available for selection. You can cast your vote until 17 December 2023 (23:59).

The initiative with the most votes will receive 12,000 euros, the project in second place will receive 10,000 euros, third place will receive 8,000 euros and the two remaining projects will each receive 5,000 euros.

Germany

SOS Family Centre Hamburg

We offer a wide range of services and support in various districts of Hamburg, including counselling, parenting support, crisis intervention, group services, systemic coaching for parents and help with individual problems. We also run family cafés, children’s clothes shops and music and art courses. Around 1,000 people make use of these services every month.

Hungary

Kuckó Transition Home

Temporary accommodation for families in emergency situations, e.g. if they lose their job or home or as a refuge from abusive circumstances. Families can be accommodated for up to one year and receive meals, further training and psychological support during this time.

Czech Republic

Programme to support underage mothers

Intensive care and coaching for underage mothers in the Czech Republic. The programme has been working for two years to ensure that newborns do not end up in care homes, but can stay with their families instead.

Sweden

Wednesday Family Dinners

National programme to support young people from broken homes. Weekly meetings to help with homework, housing and job searches, as well as joint dinners and holiday activities.

Poland

SOS Family – Healthy childhood

This programme offers day centres where children are looked after after school and receive a hot meal. The programme includes homework supervision, leisure activities and cooking classes where children learn the basics of healthy eating.
